The Directorate of School Education Jammu (DSEJ) has officially declared the summer vacation for schools in the Jammu division for academic session 2025 . As Per the latest order By DSEK Jammu, all government and recognized private schools in the summer zone of JAMMU will remain closed from June 7 to July 16, 2025. This 40-day Summer break will give students relief from the summer heat wave. Parents and students are advised to remember these dates Of the summer Vacation . While the schools will be closed for students during the vacation , teachers will still have responsibilities to full fill them before the new session begins on July 17.
Teachers to Report Early for School Preparations
While students enjoy their summer break, teachers will resume their school duties few days before . As per the DSEJ summer break notification , teaching staff should report to their respective schools on July 14, 2025, two days before students return to schools. This early reporting is important to guarantee that schools are fully prepared to welcome students back . Teachers will be responsible for various tasks, including classroom cleanliness, lesson planning, and arranging teaching materials for students.
Schools must ensure that ICT labs and other facilities for online classes are fully functional before students return to the schools . Any negligence by the teachers will y lead to disciplinary action. This move aims to maintain a structured and efficient academic environment from the very first day of the new session begins .
