NEET 2025 Aadhaar Card Authentication Update: Important Message from NTA

This message is for all those children who did not use Aadhaar card or did not do Aadhaar card authentication while filling the application form for NEET 2025.

NTA has sent a message to those children where they have said that you should authenticate your Aadhaar card before the 30th.

What Does Aadhaar Card Authentication Mean?

So, what does Aadhaar card authentication mean?

When you enter the Aadhaar card,
Enter the Aadhaar number,
Then after that an OTP comes on your mobile, and
You have to enter the OTP of that mobile,
And your Aadhaar card gets authenticated.

Why Some Students Faced Issues?

While filling the exam form, there were many children who:

Had entered their old number on the Aadhaar card,
Their new number was not updated, or
There were some other changes in the Aadhaar card which were not updated.

So for those children, NTA is giving time till the 30th to get your Aadhaar card authenticated.

How Can You Authenticate Your Aadhaar Card?

There are two ways for this:

Registered Email ID
- You must have received a message on your registered mobile number.
- It is a registered email ID.
- There must be a link given there by clicking on which you can authenticate your Aadhaar card.
Login via Official NTA Website
- If you assume that you still do not get this email, then what will you do?
- You will login from the official website of NTA.
- Login from the form where you had logged in.
- And there you will have the option of Aadhaar card authentication.
- Go there and get your Aadhaar card authenticated before the 30th.

Didn’t Receive the Email?

Many children will say in this registered email ID that:

“Sir, I did not receive the mail.”

This mail will be received only by those children who did not get this Aadhaar card authentication done.

Those children who logged in with Aadhaar card will not get this mail.
And there will be some children who did not authenticate with Aadhaar card, so they may not be able to see it in the mail.

👉 Check your spam folder once. Sometimes the message also goes to spam.

Aadhaar Card Mistake? What to Do

Another question that the children will ask is:

“Sir, there are mistakes in my Aadhaar card like the father’s name is different, mother’s name is different, the photo is different. I did not get it corrected. So will I face any problem in the exam centre?”

Answer:

I had told you earlier also that you should go to the exam centre with an additional ID.
If anywhere your details are wrong or the photo is not matching, anything, then go with an additional ID.
So it will be managed there.

✅ Before the time of counselling, get your Aadhaar card corrected because at the time of counselling, all this data will start mattering.

🚫 You do not need to panic in going to the rest of the exam centre.

Important Notes About Authentication

In this Aadhaar card authentication, you will only need a mobile OTP.
If your mobile phone is verified and the mobile phone you are using is the same as mentioned in Aadhaar, then you are not going to face any problem.
